Obtaining a visa when flying from China

Hi, I\’m an American citizen working in China, and I need a visa for a conference I will be attending in Vietnam later this year. Since I will be flying from China to Vietnam, will you be able to process my application? If so, what special procedures will be necessary? Thanks in advance for your help.

We would like to answer you that as an American passport holder, you can apply for visa on arrival as usual without any special procedures even you take the flight from China to Vietnam. Our special note on website is just applied for China, Hong Kong, Macau’s passport holders.

Additionally, we wondered if your partner in Vietnam can provide some guarantee documents for your visa application? If yes, you can apply business visa. Otherwise, tourist visa is also available for you.
