Vietnam visa on arrival for US Citizen

Hi, my question is… can US citizens also apply for the vietnam visa here? because somebody told me that for us citizens we have to apply for it in the embassy?

Hi, Visa on Arrival is effective on the date on the approval letter or on the day the visitor arrives in Vietnam.? For example, I will not arrive in VN until Jan 25, 2011. Can I apply for 1 month tourist visa now (October 2011) or should I wait until the end of December to apply? Thank you for your reply.

The letter will be valid from the date you provide or intend to travel, not from the date you apply. given what you provide above, it will be valid from 25th Jan 2011 to 25th Feb 2011.
